Patient Update Sept 2021

You may have heard about this in the media

Unfortunately this issue is beyond our control.

Please DO NOT call us to ask about flu vaccinations, as soon as we have an update we will post on here and update our website.

Please share this information and inform any elderly relatives.

Thank you for understanding at this time.

Face Masks and Social Distancing in General Practice

As restrictions are becoming relaxed from Monday 19th July, although hospitalisation and COVID-19 case continue to rise, we have major concerns over the impact of these changes on the NHS.

We will therefore be asking all of our patients and staff to continue wearing face coverings (unless a valid exemption exists) and to follow social distancing measures within the practice. We will continue to follow the 'telephone triage first' policy to ensure the risk of COVID-19 is minimised within the community. If you feel you need to see a clinician in person, we assure you we can arrange this after you have been triaged, if appropriate.

We also ask all patients with COVID-19 symptoms or are isolating as a contact of someone who has tested positive, not to attend surgery.

Thank you to all our patients continuing to work with us to protect those most vulnerable.

National Data Opt-out

A new national data opt-out was introduced in May 2018, following recommendations from the National Data Guardian. People can opt out of having their confidential patient information shared for reasons beyond their individual care, for example for research and planning. There is a deadline date for this which is 20th September 2021. For more information on this, please visit the website below.
